A Raney Halloween

Reed shrieked as yet another spider fell from the ceiling, jumping back.
"Shane, I don't like this! I don't like it at all!" he cried, gripping Shane's arm.
"It's just a fake haunted house, baby, it's nothing to be afraid of," Shane soothed him, wrapping his arm around his waist. He jumped as a man with a chainsaw jumped out from behind a tombstone, causing Reed to scream again. The man cackled evilly and they scurried away, trying to leave.
"I want to get out of here!" Reed said, his voice high with fright.
"I know, babe, we're almost out of here."
Reed clutched his waist tighter, burying his face in Shane's side as they walked through spider webs. Shane cursed loudly as a fake cadaver fell on them, making Reed, once again, scream. He pushed the body to the floor and they hurried away, glancing around nervously. Soon, a man with a hunched back walked forward.
"You are soon to leave your nightmare, but first you must pass the vampire's coffin!" he announced in a low voice. He pushed the double doors open. Reed shrieked again as a man with fangs, a cape, and pale skin emerged from the doors. Reed shrunk back against Shane. Shane glared defiantly at the man, holding Reed close.
"I've got you," he told Reed, stroking his strawberry-blonde curls. Soon, they had left the haunted house, Reed trembling.
"It's ok, baby, we're out of there," Shane murmured, kissing him softly.
"I hate haunted houses," Reed whimpered.
